Supa Friends
A rotating roster of heavy-hitting Columbia, SC all-star musicians that performs alongside Supachai. The Supa Friends concept was born in August 2020 when Supachai's former band, Sell Out, withdrew from a show and musicians: Nate Hammonds, Reggie Steele, Sam Roomian, and, Jared Wise; joined Supa onstage for an impromptu performance at Jake's on Devine in the Five Points District of Columbia, South Carolina. Supa Friends performed their first unofficial show at Share House in Charleston in July of 2022, with their first official show as a fully realized band being at Breakers Live in Five Points in Columbia in October 2022. The band did studio work in mid 2022 with Cody Holmes on drums before settling on the current roster. The group is comprised normally as a 5 piece pop/punk ensemble with Supachai and Jared Wise as the core members and Nate Hammonds, Reggie Steele, and Charles Riley filling the remaining positions. Supachai filtered through possible band names like "Dream Scarlet" and "Superior" before Jared ultimately threw out "Supa Friends" which has stuck ever since.
Supa friends have been on an indefinite hiatus since early 2023 due to health complications and vocal issues with lead singer, Supachai. Bassist, Nate Hammonds, departed the group in September 2023; moving to Tennessee to further his musical options. Bassist/Guitarist, Charles Riley, also followed fellow Columbia musician, Brooks Herring, to Tennessee. Guitarist, Jared Wise, joined the band, The Great Reset, in early 2024.
